Parents Teachers Friends Association
The Model Church in Wales School PTFA was established in October 1982 when the ‘old’ school was located in St Catherine Street.
The PTFA are a small group who will always welcome new members, even if you only have a small amount of time to spare. It always amazes us what ideas we come up with armed with a mug of coffee, they can range from sponge-soaking the teacher at the Summer Fun Night to having that special photo with Santa at the Christmas Fayre. It is an excellent way to bring together parents, teachers and friends to raise money and support the school.
Over the past few years alone, we have been able to purchase a Climbing Wall, several bikes and safety helmets, gardening equipment, football posts, playground toys, numerous books and every year we have a special agreement with Santa that he delivers each Year a classroom gift.
We also organize a very successful Millennium Club where £1 per week enters your number into a lottery type game. Numbers are drawn every Tuesday and you too could be a Millennium Club lottery winner. Remember – you have to be in it, to win it! (Entry forms are available to download and completed forms can be handed in to the school office)
